Meeting of Generations’ Educational Career Guidance Project of the ‘Poles of the Earth’ International Humanitarian and Educational Centre named after Artur Chilingarov
Environmental Campaigns
11–12 April 2026
Key themes of the project:
- ‘Treasures of the Polar Subsoil: What Is Being Mined in the Arctic’
- ‘The Profession of Geologist: Romance and Science’
- ‘Mineral Resources as State Assets: Laws and Responsibility’
This project helped school students gain an understanding of the fragility of the Arctic ecosystem and the need to preserve it. They developed a sense of respect and care for Arctic wildlife, expanded their knowledge of the culture, traditions, and lifestyles of the Indigenous peoples of the North, and learned about their intrinsic connection to the Arctic natural environment.
The project helped to enhance environmental awareness among the younger generation, generate interest in the North, support early career guidance for students, promote the development of eco-tourism in the Arctic, and deepen their understanding of the region’s ecological, economic, and cultural features.
