‘The Role of the Supplementary Education System in Promoting the Environmental Agenda’ National Meeting

Key themes of the project:

• Bolstering cooperation among educational institutions, government authorities, and public organizations
• Expanding the network of participants involved in environmental education
• Enhancing the engagement of educators and students in environmental projects

The meeting featured discussions about the further intensification of cooperation with the Foundation for Humanitarian Projects, the ‘Movement of the First’ National Public-State Children’s and Youth Movement, the Institute of Ecology at the Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), and the All-Russian Research Institute of Phytopathology.

The following resolution was adopted at the meeting:

1. To create and regularly update a repository of best practices in environmental education.
2. To recommend regularly holding events to showcase best practices in environmental education, including through flagship webinars organized by the Progress Centre for Comprehensive Child Development.
3. To recommend integrating elements that foster an environmental mindset into the content of supplementary educational programmes for all disciplines
