X Russian water congress

The Russian Water Congress has been the country's main water forum since 2017. The event was established as part of the Year of Ecology in Russia declared by Decree No. 7 of the President of the Russian Federation “On Holding the Year of Ecology in the Russian Federation” dated 5 January 2016. The forum is held annually with the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, as well as all relevant federal government bodies, subordinate services, agencies, and budgetary institutions. The goal of the Congress is to bring together all interested ministries, departments, and water management sectors in a single venue to formulate consolidated decisions on the integrated use of water resources, the sustainable development of the water management complex, and the preservation of the country’s water resources.
